Providing enough food for the world's poor is a continuing challenge. According to a study issued by the International Food Policy Research Institute, by 2020 world population will increase to at least 8 billion. Most of this growth will take place in the developing world and will account for about 85 percent of the increase in demand for cereals and meat. Already, almost 1 billion people live in poverty and suffer chronic hunger-about two-thirds of whom are farmers. The United Nations Population Division has made similar population projections.

MBFSED to revisit the case of retired civil servants that need financing for small scale business concerns.

There are many optimistic signs that the livelihood of many retired civil servants will be uplifted through the MBFSED financial scheme. Speaking in Minna, Niger state, Eng. Mustafa Bello disclosed that his foundation will create ways to assist the retired civil servants in their quest for financing their business projects. "We shall assist those retired civil servants entrepreneurs with finance and help them grow their business" further said Engr. Bello. MBFSED believes that private-public-NGOs partnership will go a long way in creating wealth and uplifting rural communities.
